This trail guide is designed for people who want to spend some time hiking, biking and exploring Canmore and vicinity.

On the front is a detailed 1: 35,000-scale map of the Canmore townsite area, covering Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park to the west, Lady Macdonald and Grotto Canyon to the north and The Three Sisters Mountain and Ha Ling Peak to the south.

All of the hiking and biking trails are labelled and trail distances are marked. You get both contour lines at 25-metre (80-ft) intervals, as well as the more intuitive relief shading.

On the back of the map are descriptions of 11 of the best walks, day hikes and mountain biking trails in the area. The highlights of each trail are noted, as well as distance, elevation gain and directions to the trailhead. Popular trails described include Quarry Lake, Grassi Lakes, Ha Ling Peak, Policeman''s Creek, Cougar Creek, Mt. Lady Macdonald and Wind Ridge.

Also on the back, are short descriptions of recommended sights, such as the Canmore Nordic Centre, museums, and restaurants in Canmore, with hours of operation and admission fees noted to make it easier to plan your day. There is also a detailed map of the townsite on the back.

Five color photos accompany the descriptions on the back of the map.
